Just wanted to let people know that whoever "Made 2 order bows" is sells broken toys . My sister picked something up for me not realizing that it didn't work. I contacted the seller and she basically said too bad for you and no you can't have your money back. She was very rude and unapoligetic that she sold broken toys. Even GoodWill will give you your money back if something doesn't work. I am very unhappy and thought you should all be warned.

Be careful to ask a lot of questions, because you can't presume anything with her toys....check things carefully don't just take her word on them. Most of her expensive toys are either broken or missing pieces so be sure that is what you want before buying them because pictures can be deceiving.

wow i didnt know this and i thank you all for the heads up.

Samantha --- 16 years ago -

i think there have been one or 2 people on the site doing this now. It sad quite frankly and it keeps me from buying electronics on sys or cl unless i know the person.

Elizabeth --- 16 years ago -

I guess I will make sure I find out what type of batteries things take and bring my own when I do a pick up. I agree it is sad, garage saleing is supposed to be fun.

i dont see any problem with asking to set it up or plug it in to make sure it works too. Ive asked people to do it for me and had people ask me to do the same. makes for less problems later on.

Samantha --- 16 years ago -

i did have an issue once where i sold an item, described a problem it had and tested it 10 minutes before she cam to pick it up. then 2 months later she emailed me to tell me it didnt work and wanted her money back. that seemed shady to me too.

Elizabeth --- 16 years ago -

Yeah two months is way shady. This was 5 minutes after picking it up. Luckily I only lost 5 dollars, but still disappointed.

Samantha --- 16 years ago -

yeah that was lucky! im glad it wasnt more than that.

Future Mrs. Woodall --- 16 years ago -

Dang, its crazy out there huh? Heres one for ya, I sold a lady a toy, I wasnt sure if it worked but I told her that, and i didnt have batteries to test it. I was originally just giving it away, but she said she couldnt take an item like that for free so she gave me i think 1$. It was a tickle me elmo XT by the way. I dont know why she didnt just buy one that i knew worked. Anyways, she waited like 4 months to write me back and tell me i scammed her and this and that. Then said she wanted her money back, plus the money she spent on batteries (which was rediculously high) and the gas money she spent driving to Lawton. Then she was like I put batteries in it and nothing happened. I set it on the table and everything, it didnt do anything. So just out of curiosity I asked if she had pushed the button on his foot. And she said she didnt know she had to push anything. Then started (literally) cussing me out because I hadnt told her she had to push buttons to make it work. And was very rude and unapologetic. But LoL! I guess some people are like that.

Samantha --- 16 years ago -

wow, that sounds horrible. i dont understand stuff like that.

Elizabeth --- 16 years ago -

You make my experience not sound that bad.

Future Mrs. Woodall --- 16 years ago -

LoL! Ive gotten over it, Ive had many experiences like that. And worse ones. And Ive had many things stolen by buyers too.its just so crazy

Sharon --- 16 years ago -

who in their right mind doesn't know you have to push a button or do something to make kids toy work? Come on. Do you want your toys to go on their own? I don't I have to listen to them enough when the kids play with them I dont want them babbling and playing music when I am alone or they are in bed. WOW

Future Mrs. Woodall --- 16 years ago -

haha, we had a toy do that, just before it went completely capoot....It would just start by itself and play music and such just all the time... and at random times too. It really kinda freaked us out a little bit... one thing I can not stand is when I will post something, and someone will remember my address then come over and be like oh im here for this (especially if its free) and for awhile i didnt take names or anything, so i assumed okay i sent you my address so youre here to pick things up. But then later on the person I really talked to would come to pick it up and I would have to explain what happened. Now it makes me wanna check id. LoL! But I always at least ask for a name or email. LoL! And Ive had things stolen off my front porch if im not home when someone is supposed to pick something up, and then they get mad at me when its not there.

laura --- 16 years ago -

ok First of all i never said it made any type of noise or lit up i even made sure i posted that all it did was help baby stand it did nothing else this lady was the rudest person i have ever came across on this site and plus i am the person that normally brings new batteries for you to make sure i show you that things work I have never sold something knowing that it was broke and after all of this the sister that picked the toy up applogised for the way her sister had acted so i feel that it is just rude for someone to act like this and say the things that she has said
