....When I see things I have given away for free for sale. It just makes my day that knowing someone that I thought I was helping by giving them something needed to sell it instead!

What was the item. you should let people know so we dont buy it. Are you sure it was the same person you gave it to. If you are its only fair that you shout them out.

MaryJane --- 15 years ago -

That seems to happen a lot around here. Please let us know who this person is so we do not buy from him/her.

Sharon --- 15 years ago -

I have found that happen too often. I give away all my free stuff to the Soldiers Closet on post. They give it away and are totally volunteer run and you have to be within certain rank to even go there. If they are that crooked to go there and then sell stuff, then I guess there is no hope for them. They will get theirs one day when they truely need something and no one will give it to them for being so greedy along the way.

One solution would be to give it to goodwill where they will sell it ans use the money for good causes. What's the soldier's closet?

the soldiers closet is to help military families out with clothing, appliances, basically anything you can think of household wise its basically a goodwill for the military except its free. its also run by volunteers and the people up there are very sweet i donate stuff to them most every month. and i have to say i have seen some of my donated stuff on here to but not recently.

I went there for a couple "dressy" clothes when I started work until I could get paid and get more on my own. Made a huge difference to me and my family and helped a ton!!!! It is on post, but run by the ASYMCA. I think you have to rank under E-6 to go there. And yes the volunteers there are wonderful, work hard and are always happy to see you bring stuff in to them.
