I really dislike when I see a item that I put on the curb for the TRASH on this site being sold for x amount of money.

I have been seeing a black truck picking up trash from curb with two guys in it. They come every trash day. This is around the base. They are white older men.

Drop stuff off at goodwill or the Soldiers closet. At least you know its going somewhere it will get used right and not just to make a quick buck!!

Where is the soldiers closet?

Soldiers closet is on base. They give stuff out for free to military E-1 to E-5. I don't know if they have something off base. They give you 5 bags to fill and one carry off item. If i found out more i'll let you know.

@ a1816343uu I am curious, are you aware bitty is an adjective? Anywho if anyone could tell me a building number or whom I could call to find out about the soldiers closet I would be very greatful.

The soldiers closet is actually run by the ASYMCA. You can drop stuff there, but they prefer you drop it on post at the actual building. I dont know the building number, but you turn at the light after Burger King(if coming from Sheridan gate) and itis the second little building on the left after the first street. There is a sign outside that says Soldiers Closet. they do pickups for bigger items if you are unable to get them there, but you ahve to call the ASYMCA for that. They are only open Tue & Wed from 1030-130. I know that makes it a little tougher to drop off, but I like it because it really does go to a good place.
and yes, if you are in need of items, you cna go there, you get one plastic(like walmart or commissary) bag per person in your family. If you are in need of bigger items ie..washer or desk, beds you can be put on a waiting list and if they get that kind of stuff in they go through the wait list.
