My son is 3, and I'm thinking about getting some kind of part time job to help out with money. We came from Fort Lewis where daycare was OUTRAGEOUS. Does anyone know about prices here? Also, I'd like to know how clean/nice the daycares are.

If you go to the MWR page for Ft. Sill, they have a spreadsheet for childcare costs on post. I know they just opened two new centers on post.
As far as off post, if you go to the OKDHS website, you can search for local daycare provders, and they also give a chart on child care fees. OKDHS certified centers are rated on a "star" system, so the more stars, the higher quailty care, but slightly higher price.
I think 1 star facilities start around $15 or $20 per day, just to give you a ballpark idea.
Hope this helps!

My 3 year old son goes on post full time. Daycare prices are all dependent upon your income. Based upon your income, you are put in a category 1-6. Category 1 pays the least and category 6 pays the most. We are in Category 4 right now, and we pay 436.00 per month. I think it is really good when compared to the off post providers. I do plan on starting my son at Lawton Christian Preschool when he is fully potty trained. I have heard really good things about them. I hope this helps :)

Actually I think there are more than 6 now, but hopefully you get the idea.

Thankyou!! I appreciate it! The only income right now is my husband, he's an E5. I was looking into starting some college classes..or maybe getting a job but I have a feeling if I worked the whole check would go to daycare!

He is potty trained and will be 4 next January, so I'm hoping I may wait to do anything until I can get him into headstart.

There is an awesome daycare on Sheridan...just opened this month! It's called "Little Lambs" and has excellent teachers! It is very clean and beautiful inside!
