Ok I know it's been talked about before but I am SO. SICK. of people contacting you and acting all interested getting your hopes up just to give you a sob story and a lowball! I've had this happen A LOT recently. If you are really far in debt, if you only have $10 spending money a month, if you have a ton of special needs people living with you and can't afford anything for them, if you have 12 children and you're a stay at home mom with an E1 hubby, why the heck are you looking on bookoo if you're that desperate? Or at least why are you looking at the electronics, jewlrey, etc? I can see searching the toys and baby stuff for good deals, but when you come upon a good deal [say something that sells for $100+ that you can't buy in stores and have to have shipped for $40, or something brand new in box for less than half what the price tag which is still attached says....why don't you pass it up when you see it's alot more than the $2, $3, $5, $7 dollars you're willing to pay, or have to spare?!?!?
Normally I tell people I'm sorry for their situation and try to help them, if I can't go down very far in price I suggest other people's items that are similar that I've seen cheaper. Might not be new in box, might not be in perfect condition, but if it's what you need/really want and you're that desperate and strapped for cash you won't mind right? Or I point them towards resources that may be able to help...but then they say no thanks.
IDK Maybe it's because i'm pregnant and hormonal and SUPER stressed and strapped for cash etc, but I'm just so fed up with it!
And it's not so much the people who when I tell them I can't take their offers say "Ok thanks!" or "Sorry I had to try" that upset me. It's the ones who then get rude. They repeat or change their sob story over and over again. They call you heartless. They say you have no soul. They are downright RUDE thinking they know you and your situation better than you know! Or then they insult the item. They say it's junk that no one wants. [So why are you trying to buy it for cheap?] Those are the ones that upset me. And I'm not pointing fingers at anyone or talking about any certian buyer, there are A BUNCH recently. Giving me a sob story makes me sad and makes me sorry for you, but it doesn't make me able to give away my items when I really need money. It doesn't make you being rude any less hurtful.
