Quick question, my daughter has asthma and were moving there this spring/summer and was wondering if anyone or their kids have asthma and how the humidity affects them? I read that high humidity can trigger asthma attacks, just trying to figure things out before the move.

I have really bad asthma. I grew up here, and so it doesn't bother me really, but we moved away for almost a decade, and every other place we lived in did bother my asthma.

The area here has low humidity in the summer. It is a dry heat. Think south Texas type heat at times. If moving here for military, be sure to have your child updated on EFMP, and also talk to the doctors when you get here, to see what they would recommend.

That's good to know! She was born in west Texas and we lived there for 3 years, so were familar with the dry heat, also lived in 29 Palms CA and now were at Camp Pendleton. Knock on wood we haven't had any problems with her asthma in awhile, just trying to get prepared. Thanks :)

My asthma usually only acts up if I'm around the dust a lot, and in the cold air. It was horrible tonight, but I am usually alright with my inhaler. I really probably should get the attachments for my nebulizer just in case, though.
