Hey- Anyone have a great referral for a house cleaner for a day? My wife has been working really hard the past few weeks and I thought I would surprise her with a full day at About Face Spa. I figured while she was getting pampered, I could have someone come in and clean the house for her because I know I couldn't meet her standards! Is this a good idea ladies or will it upset her to have someone come in and do this. I'll be there to make sure everything goes smoothly. Would you like it if your husband did this? If so, do any of you ladies have a great referral? Also- should I buy her a nice outfit and take her out after a day at the spa or should I rent some chick flicks, buy her a new pair of pjs, and order some of her favorite food in? She has been so tired lately and has been working her butt off. I just want to say thanks and I love her. Let me know your thoughts please.

Oh Jack, you are making a lot of husbands look bad right about now. All these you are planning sound great and I think many women would be thrilled if their husbands were to do something like that for them; including me. That being said, you could be putting the rope around you neck by doing so much. Don't kill me ladies, please let me explain. Knowing how us women are, if you do all this, you'll be hearing about it for the rest of your life; it could be in a good or bad way because you'll have to think how are you going to top it up for Mother's day or Valentine's next year and the years to come. The spa idea is wonderful; what woman wouldn't want to spend a whole day being pampered without having to worry about bills and what not? Hiring someone to clean the house for her could also go both ways, if she is really picky (like me) I don't know if she would want a stranger in her house touching her things and all that. It would be much sweeter if you did it, even if you think you can't meet her standards; at least you know what she likes her things to be organized. About the outfit, only if you are 200% you would buy her something that she would want to weare and would look good in it. Remember, women are very picky about thier clothes and how they fit. The dinner idea after the spa is great only if you think that's what she would want. If you know she'd rather just kick it at home, then that would be the best way to go. Jack, you are just awesome for thinking of all these; you get cool points just for doing that. You know your wife and I'm sure you'll choose something she'll like. By the way, a Victoria's Secreat bag always make a woman smile :) Good luck!

You have some good points there!! You really think my wife will expect this times two if I were to do this? Maybe I ought to skip the house cleaner and do it myself...you have me running scared!! *lol* My wife is pretty picky with clothes. I thought about what you said and I bought her a gift card to her favorite store so she can go shopping after her spa experience and have a pair of pajamas from the VS pink line, thanks to your recommendation, that I bought. I was going to go for sexy but didn't want her to think I was doing this all for the wrong reason. She is a good woman, ya know?

Im sorry I was saying he was reading what I was writing. I got cut off because as i was typing he tackled me and I accidentally posted my message. I think the advice precious gave you hit it right on the nail. I know I would prefer a nice pair of comfortable pajamas over something sexy. Also my husband has brought me clothes before and honestly Ive had to take everything back Ive only ever kept one item and it was because he couldn't find the receipt and when i went to return it they were giving me way less than what he had paid a few weeks earlier. I would rather go shopping and have some free time to relax...lol.
