Does anyone have any good recommendations? Let me know about how much it costs too if you can. Thanks in advance!

Amber --- 15 years ago -

Garfields in the mall is our favorite place to eat. Also Santa Fe is really good too, its on cache way down by outback. Garfields runs around the same price as applebees and chilis. Santa Fe is a lil more expensive.

Sweet --- 15 years ago -

good places: 1. Los tres Amigos 2. Santa Fe ( the lynchberg steak about $10-$20 dollars for the full meal two sides meat and all the rolls u can eat) 3. Red Lobster- Lobsterfest going on right now (16.99) 4. Branding Iron- for bbq 10 for a meal 5. Blakes - Interstate rd by Proteam Harley - they are great they make Homemade soda awesome burgers and chilli and shakes 6.lugis- for italian 6-10 a meal depends on what u get 7. buffalo wild wings - for wings and mojitos thats all i can think of right now

TexasChild --- 15 years ago -

Oooh Blakes sounds like a cool place! Me & the Hubbs are always up for tryin new joints! We will def give this one a try!

Bridget --- 15 years ago -

the greek restaurant right next to the motel 8....food taste just like overseas !

Bridget --- 15 years ago -

or lostres amigos for mexican, the new location is a bit loud but food is great!

Leah --- 15 years ago -

Mojitos sound good! Too bad I can't drink for the next 5 months or so, I'd really like to, but that is usually frowned upon while pregnant :( this move has been a nightmare! And things are still going wrong 2 weeks later. A drink would be nice. Anyway, Thanks for the info! I did have Branding Iron last week, it was good, love their sweet tea! Bridget- is that place called El Greco or something else? I've heard El Greco is good. Thanks for the ideas Sweet, I haven't heard of some of those places you mentioned, Santa Fe sounds good too, I love rolls, I just have to talk my cheapo hubby into going there. Amber- what do you usually get at Garfields, I live like a block from the mall so that would be super close for me.

Amber --- 15 years ago -

My Hubby and I get their Steak or their pasta or hamburgers. They have a burger with A-1 and its SOOOO GOOOD! It is called the American burger i think. But their steak has no fat or anything on it and it tastes GREAT. They have like 3-4 different pastas and they are all good.

MaryJane --- 15 years ago -

I have to agree with Sweet's list and Briget's one, there all all good places but I usually go to Red lobster and Los Tres Amigos, I almost got a heart attack when I head it was closing...just to later find out they were just moving :P There are a lot of good places around town, you just have to find the right time to go; never go to a restaurant on payday because you will be waiting on a table for hours!

How about chinese and pizza? What are the best places to order from? I like Little Ceasers and it's got the $5 large so that's what we usually do, but what about the other places, we don't really have Pizza time or Pizza Emergency where I'm from, are one of those good?

Al --- 15 years ago -

Pizza emergency is freakin awesome...AND they are cheap. Plus all their items have cute themes. They taste better than all the others hands down.

Sweet --- 15 years ago -

oriental foods:\ 1. China Garden ( my whole family has favorites from here) 2. china wok ( for lunch its cheap and good I ve been going here since i was 2 lol) 3. beijin bbq ( is soooo good) its in the same plaza as country mart and darbys ( 67th and cache) 4. Pusan ( its korean but so good 7.53 if u get water and the lunch buffet) they have different types of california rolls i normally find more things on their buffet that i like then at hongknog buffet Pizza 1. Papa Johns 21.99 two large ( one works one two topping) ( family speacial) 2. pizza hut ( i just like the topping s they put on their pizza ( i like tomatoes) 3. dominos their new sauce is pretty good but spicy i always order light sauce not really anyother place in town that i will goto for pizza

Sweet --- 15 years ago -

There is actually 2 los tres amigos in town. The new one and then the one on gore just past i-44 going east. Its the one we eat at. I agree with sweet we only get from lil caesar or dominoes. Oh and if you order online from pizza hut beware. There is a piggy back company TLG livwell and they will charge you if you put your pizza on a credit or debit card.

Bridget --- 15 years ago -

i tryed pizza all over town and we ordered from papa john a lot....but believe it or not we love the fresh walmart pizza !!!! they are right in the front by the deli !!!! they are soo good...u need to try them ! and they have 2 different sizes

I love Kobe's too, its a little pricey though. Probably about 50 or 60 for two ppl depending on what you get. Thats the hibachi grill. I dont do sushi so I dont know the prices on that, lol.

Bridget --- 15 years ago -

yeahhh kobes is real good ! love the sushi and fried rice over there ! that new chinese place on cache got good sushi too !!! (the old fire mountain)

Leah --- 15 years ago -

Thanks everyone! I had heard Kobe's was good last time we lived here (3 years ago for about 8 months) but haven't tried it yet.

I like to consider myself a restaurant Connoisseur (ha ha) and thanks to my numerous years in restaurant management I have had the honor of viewing numerous kitchens and have been privy to information I probably would not have been given elsewise. I haven't decided if that is good or not. 1-My ALL time favorite restaurant in Lawton is Kobe's. It is a bit higher prices, but I say there is plenty of bang for your buck. The meals tend to run upward of $20/plate but you get PLENTY of food. The hubby and I tend to always get sushi and drinks, but I would say the average of $50-65 for 2 is accurate with the basic meal and a soda. 2- I used to LOVE El Greco, but eventually decided to start cooking my own Greek food. AFter they did the renovations I found that their cost went up, their portion size went down, and the dining area is entirely TOO crowded. I have an excellent source that has mentioned the owners lack of concern on outdated items as well. Just an FYI. 3- Garfields is decent for a chain restaurant, I think. My husband and I tend to go there when shopping at the mall. For being a basic restaurant, as in not a steak house, I agree the steaks are not horrible. Their porition size isn't bad and their prices are decent. Their pasta and sandwhiches are pretty awesome, too!! 4-LUIGIS ROCKS!! I prefer the old one on Sheridan opposed to the Luigi's express on Cache Road. The service is a bit slow at both locations, but the pasta and pizza are always worth it!! In the past we have had three of us go to Luigi's for lunch, all order pasta, and the meal was under $25. We all left beyond stuffed and with leftovers. I find the establishment to be very clean and worth the effort! You want awesome Chinese food? I heart Hunans. It is this small, run down looking restaurant off from Sheridan. I don't care for their buffet and always order the meals. Their prices aren't bad to boot, either. Punans is also rockin' for Korean food. Also, if you like Korean food, try the junction. It is a small hole in the wall restaurant but keeps some awesome hours. Their food is hot, fresh, and always yummy. As for pizza, if you are looking for something inexpensive, have you tried CiCi's? I tried them for the first time last week $5.99 for an all you can eat buffet. And even though it is a buffet you can request certain types of pizza. Hmm...I used to love MIke's Sports bar for their food, but their service tended to lack some. As for Los Tres, I have always thought that the Gore restaurant provided better food, but the new restaurant is nice. In reality, I normally prefer El Chicos. LOVE their salsa. Honestly none of the local Mexican restaurants, that I have tried, are all that authentic. Boohoo!

Hyperbole --- 15 years ago -

And that new Red River Chuckhouse on Cache Road...ummm, nah. I wouldn't recommend that. Very small selection, too high of prices, and the food is a very huge disappointment. I could do better with a pound of horse butt and store brand bread!

Hyperbole --- 15 years ago -

Bridget- YESsss! LOVE the walmart/Sams pizzas! I agree with you on that.

Bridget --- 15 years ago -

brooke....what source do u have about outdated food at the greek restaurant ? the prices did not go up until 2 years after the renovations, and there is only one owner ! :) and have u tried the lasagne already too ? the pizza is the best, but have not tried the lasagne yet....lol

Hyperbole --- 15 years ago -

Bridget- Let's just say it was someone that used to work for the owner and they are very, very reliable imo. And you are correct- it is one owner. She used to do the food shows on KSWO, I think it was. I think the owner is a sweet enough lady, but re-marking outdated meats, etc isn't up my alley. Yuck. As for lasagna...are you talking about Luigi's or WalMart/Sams. Luigis, that is a yes and Yum-o!! As for Sam's/walmart, not yet. Sam's has all kinds of meals ready to go that are made there now! I thought about buying some to try @ work for lunch as I always tend to cook dinner.

Sweet --- 15 years ago -

we normally get sams pizzas when were there u just have to watch it sometimes they burn the pizza witch is not all that great and sometimes if awesome u just have to check ur pizza before u leave
