OK I go garaging every weekend and do alot of buying on here and it's always for someone in need. I remember being a yound soldier and broke with a child and I was blessed with many good people around me so now it's my turn to return that kindness but anyway here is what happened to me today...

I went to a garage sale that looked wonderful, it actually was and as I was going through the clothes I had people in mind and I was so excited because alot of it was Gymboree and Gap. Now the lady did tell "Things on this table will be alittle more because they are things I really have a hard time parting with." So I figured well ok certaintly not more than $6 and outfit. So I got my stack together to see where I was money wise and when I asked her "Will you take $1.00 for your Gap onsies." and she said "Ummmmm no I really can't." I said well ok then and I then asked Ok so how much are these outfits and she said I will let these go for $15.00 a set" WOW I said in my mind. I was so shocked I was speechless!! I said "you won't go down at all." She said "No I can't because I know if I don't sell them here that kids consignment is coming up and I will make more money there, plus I am having a hard time parting with these outfits." I just don't understand!! I did that consignment a couple years ago and they took 30% of my money and I had to price things at a reasonable price that I know people here would pay and it was hard work to boot! I just thought if you are having a garage sale you are trying to get rid of stuff! This sale had mostly all baby stuff! So I was pretty upset after the shockness wore off. You can find Gymboree on clearance, ebay, facebook Gymboree consignment, Craigslist much cheaper than $15.00 for a shortalls outfit. Ok so I ranted, I feel better and hopefully I will find a better garage sale in OKC tomarrow when I go! I am by far not looking for free stuff but reasonable is what I would say especially since this is my retirement money I put out there to help others!

On the flip side I had a BooKooer that was so very generous that she passed down to me boxes and boxes of clothes when she found out what I do and I turned around that very night and passed down 4 trash bags full of clothes to two different families! Ok off to cook dinner!

Ok I knew I wasn't crazy! Well I am a big volunteer at Just Between Friends. I would love to see what she has it priced at! OMG we are not Cali, or New York we just don't pay prices like that as a re-sell here and it's worth the farther South you get lol!! Garaging in ALabama was the bomb!! :-)

OMG! I thnk if she had that much trouble parting with them, maybe she shouldn't have put them out. You know she won't sell them. ...and she won't ever get $15 an outfit at the consignment either. Wack job!

Lol, I went to that yard sale too! I went in the afternoon and got a few things for $3-$5 so I guess she realized the wasn't going to sell the stuff for that much and lowered the price :P

LOL it was the one on Lindy! She may have pulled them out!
