The other day I had a girl (not going to mention her name, do not want to call her out) come to my house to buy something. She literally walked in looked around my house and walked into my pantry on her own free will and asked if I was selling my food, bowls, cooking dishes, etc etc etc. I on several occasions said no, I'm sorry. Then she gave me a pitty story on how they're broke and need anything free they can get. Okay I understand being broke and in that situation. IM THERE RIGHT NOW! We are living paycheck to paycheck, but dont give me a pitty story and make me feel sorry for you. I just thought it was really rude walking around my whole house looking at my stuff and asking if she could have it or buy it.

Do you let people into your homes?

Pr3c!05@ --- 14 years ago -

Wow! She really made herself at home, did't she?! No one has ever done anything like that to me. Usually, the people that come to my home stay in the doorway till I invite them in, which of course I do most of the time. But walk around my house and look at my stuff? Hell nah, I would have asked her to leave before she even had time to tell me her sad story.

Question, if she is so broke and need food and what not, what is she doing buying stuff off bookoo? Isn't food more important than anything else?

OH my god, are you serious? I would have kicked her out!!! I have never had anytign like that happenadn have done graigslist and now this for years. I usually knwo someone is coming and have items ready, and usually they dont come further then hte entry way. I have been to peoples houses also and they have stuff in another room and it makes me feel uneasy follwoing them. I would rather wait in the doorway. EERIE

WOW I wonder if that's the same girl who tried to do that to me. She came to my house and tried to march her little way in but I didn't let her but then she saw I had a bassinet brand new in the box and she asked if she could have it and gave me the same sad story but when I said no and looked down at my very protruding stomach and said no I'm not giving you my brand new bassinet obviously I am going to need it in about a week when I'm due she got all mad and was like but I'm broke. I informed her that I'd be broke too if I had to buy a brand new bassinet if I gave her mine and closed the door in her face. Some people are just crazy.

@ ShayBaby- sounds like the same girl!! The reason she came INTO my house was because she was buying Scentsy. Which, I ended up giving away a crapload of stuff for free just to get her out. Seriously, I've never been put in that situation before and just like you all, I've been doing this for well over a year!

Amy --- 14 years ago -

Ok tell me why she was buying Scentsy if she was soo broke? No offense to you I just dont understand people's priorities. That was VERY rude of her to just come in and snoop! I meet in public because I do not like people knowing where I live. That's just me though.

Shelly --- 14 years ago -

OMG That is very very crazy!!! How can someone be so rude! I don't think my 4 cats and 120 lb Weimaraner would let her that far in the house lol! Yeah I help ALOT of families in need and I often wonder too where their priorities are, they defiantly aren't where they should be but I continue to help, not the kid's fault. I go to my family's houses that need help and suprise them so I have never had that and I hope she doesnt try and pull that at my house! I am still in shock! Wow is all I gotta say!
