Hey. Just wondering if anyone could give me information on the higher education schools in Lawton or the surrounding area. I just moved here from Ft. Riley and was obtaining my pre-reqs for nursing. I won't be in Lawton long enough to apply to a nursing school but need to finish a couple of classes. One is the CNA course.
I want to go to a school where the classe sizes are smaller. I have looked online and am not finding much. I don't really want to go to classes via the Ft. Sill route because from what other school have told me, they don't tranfer easily. If anyone has any helpful information, I would appreciate it.

to take a CNA class the votech haves that. Cameron also does pre-reqs for nursing if you just want to take a few classes while your here. Check out the Great Plain technology center for the CNA class though. I hope that helps you out some. Its on Lee blvd also.

If you get a SOCAD agreement all your credits will transfer if you are military. I had classes from all over and finally finshed my degree in 2008 and all my credits counted. Go to the ED center and sign a SOCAD agreement and you wont have any problems. Other schools will tell you that because they want you in their school lol! Cameron's pre-reqs are pretty small not bad. Great Plains classes are bigger from what I have been told. You will just have to check it out. Cameron offers alot online which is awesome

Thanks to both of you for the information. Great Plaines has the CNA class and Cameron has the other two classes I need. Now I just gotta try to find something to do until Jan. Know of any seasonal positions around here? Once again, thanks for the information.
