I just wanted to know if it ever snows here? 

Yup last Christmas we had a blizzard 

OH YEA!!!! 

This is my 5th winter here and the first I have not seen something in the area of snow/ice. Ice more often, but snow yes, we have gotten it. Wish we would get some now!!! 

I thought we were going to get some this weekend but i was wrong. Lol, but i was mad because my parents got some on Christmas. I haven't seen a white Christmas for many years. I heard last year you all got a bad ice storm. Someone told me that alot of people didn't have electric on for a minute. 

I know some went without power for two weeks! 

We lost a lot of our trees in our yard last year from the blizzard / ice storm and were without power forever. Thank goodness we had a fireplace because there wasnt a hotel room to be found anywhere due tot he fact that they had so many electric companies from kansas, iowa, arkansas, texas staying in them because they were helping to restore the power 

I lived in MN for all my life and never saw anything quite to crazy. No school for a whole week, some people were without power for 10 days, the water plant lost power and the generators only run for so long. Home Depot sold thousands of generators in a matter of days, trees damaged like crazy, it was wierd. Mostly due to the fact that OK is not equipped to deal with that stuff. Not enough plows and work crews to start with then add on a storm of that magnitude. 

We never get "real" snow here. The most i've seen is 6". But the ice is what shuts everything down. Mostly it's just a light dusting of snow that we get every now and then. Not much to do anything with. I've never shoveled in the past 6+ years here. 

I also looked up on you tube its called FORT SILL 2010 WINTER. It shows all the ice you guys got last year. I want to thank you all for the information. 

yes it does, and can be quite beautiful when it does, but can also be a frightening monster as well. 

I wish it would snow. =[
I'm from Alaska. My son was born in AK but we moved to FL that Sept and he's never gotten to see snow. =[
