HERE IN LAWTON YOU CAN NOT HAVE FIREWORKS THIS YEAR ;( IAM 20 YEARS OLD & ALL 20 YEARS IVE SEEN FIREWORKS EVERY YEAR THIS IS GOING TOO BE MY FIRST YEAR CELEBRATING THE 4TH OF JULY WITH MY HUSBAND!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE CLOSES FIREWORK SHOW WILL BE HELD AT? 

If I am not mistaken which I very well could be there is a statewide ban from what I have heard. You could possible check online in both ok and texas to find out more info 

No There Isnt A State Ban. 

I heard they were supposed to do something near Bricktown in OKC. I heard the burn ban was pretty big there, though. We won't be there until next month, but my friends and family there said they weren't doing fireworks in a lot of the state due to the ban.

Gosh, sorry getting back so late....I know this doesn't matter now, but they did have fireworks at Anadarko, which is about 45 min North of you (lawton, i'm assuming) and then there is Yukon, they also put on a fireworks show that night. I have friends that went to both. I do know they are having another out at Foss Lake which is in Clinton. We were out there for regionals (bball) this week and they are having them this weekend!!!! I saw the banner in town. 

Tish, I heard they weren't going to do fireworks at Foss Lake (it's actually outside of Clinton, north of Foss, and not too far southwest of Butler). I don't know if it changed and they decided to go ahead with them, but some friends I had who were in charge of the big celebration said they didn't know for sure if they would be doing the actual fireworks.
