Hallo, ich bin ein Neuling in Oklahoma, wie gut. Meine Familie und ich sind derzeit stationiert Tinker Air Force Base den ganzen Weg von Deutschland. Sprechen Sie deutsch oder haben Sie in Deutschland stationiert gewesen und lernte die Sprache?

Sorry to cut in, but wanted to ask something...is there a German deli anywhere near Ft Sill? At Fort Lewis, well Lakewood, there was the most wonderful German deli/bakery called Hess and I already miss going in and getting a black forest ham and harvarti, on a roll with butter and mustard, yum!!

Shelley, I don't know if it is still open, but there used to be a German restaurant on the east side of town. I loved their food when we lived there years ago. It may have closed.

Thank you so much for this info, will check it out for sure. Shutterbug, you ever gone to Hess in Lakewood? If not, go at least once before you leave, sandwiches are so good and some of their candy I like too because it's not overly sweet :) 

Oh, I love Hess'! I would get my pickles there, and they make good brats. My kids love their pretzels and brotchen.
