It is official! I have been here for 4 months (and wearing a ball cap for three and a half... LOL) It is now time for my least favorite part of moving. I need to find a hair stylist. I want to avoid that tried out a new person, and the haircut shows it experience. I can't afford super high end, but if anyone knows and trusts anyone in particular, I would love advice and maybe names and numbers.

Oh, and my family will be needing a new dentist and an orthodontist in the next few weeks too if you have recommendations. We are Army, so we need to use United Concordia approved providers.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Dr. Miracle on Ferris is who I use. Hair is Kim...She is in the same little shopping center on Sheridan as CiCis pizza & Dollar tree.

I just got an appointment with Dr. Jackson for Monday, and I'm hoping that it's a good experience. I hate going to the dentist, because I had a bad experience when I was younger.

For hair, go see Bliss @ JC Penny's!! She is AWESOME. I know a lot of people shake their head no when they hear JC Penny's salon, but I can assure you that she is the bomb. She has been my stylist for almost 6 years now- she rocked my socks from day one. I trust her enough to tell her to do whatever she thinks (and have referred several people off of bookoo to her and all have loved her!) You will NOT be disappointed. :)

ok, so I'm the biggest wuss about the dentist. To give you an idea of how bad it is, I need tens of thousands of dollars of work on my teeth b/c I went so long - seriously! (for the record, I brush and floss, there were other things at play). I was just too scared of the dentist and if it didn't hurt, then why bother. Well, some stuff started hurting. I saw Dr. Bridges on 52nd, nice man, great pep talker. I just got the courage up to see him today for actual work and I have to say it was easy. I didn't feel his shot at all. seriously, not a bit and I had to have 2. He uses some kick @ss topical to numb you first. I kept waiting to feel the pinch and notta. He drilled fast, filled faster and I was out of there before I even knew what happened.

Oh and Sandy at 1510 Hair Gallery on Gore. Great stylist. And for 2 colors and a cut it's under $100 with a tip and I have a ton of hair. I'm actually seeing her tomorrow :)

I agree with Glenna- Dr. Bridges (on 52nd, not his brother on Cache) is OUTSTANDING!!

I go to JCPenny's too, however I go to Rhonda. I show her a picture of what I want and it looks amazing. I'm not sure about Bliss, but I know Rhonda is amazing.
