Ok so what is your take on the recent post that was posted in sillbookoo? I don't know why she didn't come here and talk instead of posting *Death and Taxes* all over up there. Anyway this is what I sent her and this is how I feel..How about you?

First of all feel if you get ripped off it's because you were vulnerable and yourself to be ripped off! I am the owner/coordinator of PIF (Pass it Forward; helping one famiy to help another) With this being said I spend thousands of my own money to help others, some of you know and have seen my house and me at work! I hear pity stories all the time but all I can say is, you are in my prayers. I do not allow myself to get intangled with "I really needs clothes, am really poor, blah blah blah! How can I decipher who is telling the truth and who isn't so I leave that up to the school counselors to tell me or I will randomly pick out people and help them. I pushed out 24 boxes of clothes just last week. I pay for almost all of these items and most of the time I will buy from here, garage sales, walmart super clearance sales ect. By me buying from people on here it not only helps my business but also helps to put money into the pockets of those that are working for it. It is too easy to post your items but we can all say it is time consuming. Although I would love to see my clothes passed forward to another family free and that is the whole idea I have in what I do, I see the clothes I have given to families posted for sale all the time. Does it bother me? No not in the least, once I have given my care packages away it is now their items.

What is ebay all about? Findng that deal whether it be cheap or free and flipping to make a proffit. So it's OK there but not here? Why? It's the same concept. There is a dfference between beng ripped off literally stolen from and you allowing someone to steel from you. One situation you control the other you can't. Stolen property on the other hand is morally, ethically, and by law just wrong to re-sell but items you gave to someone or let go cheap; to me there is nothing wrong with flipping if someone can make money for himself or his family. Everyone has a story, how do we know he didn't get this with the intentions to selling or maybe they just did not work out in his house as planned, or maybe hs financial situation changed and perhaps he needed the money for something like school lunches for hs kid(s), or he needed money to put dinner on his table.

Ok so I can go on and on but this post just bothered me a bit only because I see thousands of my dollars go out and I don't expect anythng in return but I am VERY thankful for the handful that are able to donate to me so I can keep making my care packages. I spend hours on end de-staining items so the new families can have nice, name brand clothes. Thank you to whoever invented Pine Sol!! :-)

i for one think its great what you are doing!! and i am one that is torn on the situation..on one hand if i give it away or sell it then thats my problem and its theirs now..on the other hand if i do see it reposted it hurts my feelings because i do feel dooped..but you are right what if it just didnt work(which i did have one lady buy and it didnt fit in her car and she told me upfront she was getting rid of them which was just fine) or maybe they needed money something came up or whatever...i had my own battle when we had our house fire..we had boxes of clothes and bedding and all that given to us and my sons grown out of it all and we were able to get new stuff when our check came..so now what? i absolutley refuse to sell what was given because thats just the type of person i am but on the other hand ive had people say its your stuff if you need to sell it sell it...once again its all about the person you are and your beliefs i suppose...i had a loday tell me she could get something for 5 dollars and take it home and sell it for 20..she did buy it and now its hers to do whatever..would i do that...no but its easy if you set down and look at it from both sides i guess...thats just my thoughts

My email back to Shelly

Okay not to sound rude but this person and me use to be friends, he has stolen from my home which is one of the many reasons we do not have contact anymore, the lady that got ripped off for the movies husband deployed with mine and he took advantage of the situation because the husband was not in the states, I have also given him a puppy in which even after him being told not to give the dog hard candy he did and the dog choked to death, He has no children and lives off the state, he is nothing but a thief and a very dishonest person. I know that you may think me posting warnings on bookoo should have been taken to underground but not everyone goes to underground. The speakers yes were given to him but trying to turn around and sell them for 100 bucks while he payed nothing for them wasnt okay and with all the other stuff being done this was just the cherry on top of the sundae. I kept my mouth shut until now but enough is enough. I hope that maybe this explain's the reasoning behind my actions and that there is more to this then you know.

Uh oh, Ken, SpiderDemon, David...whatever his name might be is back at it again. I do see all of your points regarding flipping items and I don't thinks is so bad because like Shelly said that's what ebay is all about. And so is Goodwill. However, in this particular case, yes, that guy is a menace and a thief. He tried to rip my fried off with a car she was going to buy from him. She had told me about her plans and asked me to go with her to check the car out and what do you know, it was a piece of crap so I talked her out of it. Later we found out that the car had been actually stolen in Chikasha, I'm not saying he stole the car but for the amount of money he was asking and the hurry he was in to sell the car, I have the feeling he had to know it was. Had she bought this car from him, she could have gotten in trouble.

When I have items to give away, I just put them on the curb and put a sign (too lazy to take them to goodwill) but at least this way I don't have to deal with anyone directly. Have I seen them resold on here? Yes a few times. Did it bother me? Not really, I gave them away, if someone was able to make some money off of them, good for them. I obviouly didn't need the items so is better for someone to find a good use for them than me throwing them away; they were going to get sold at Goodwill anyways.

Oh and Shelly, I took think what you are doing is outstanding. I have a lot of free time now that the hubby is here so if you need a volunteer for deliveries and what not, send me a message :D

i wish i could explain myself without being judge,i wish i could say something period but if i do i get baited into fighting on here it shows plenty of times in recent postings
why should i explain myself to anyone when no one wants to hear both sides of the story? since when is one person's opinion regarded as higher than anothers?

Shelly, I think it is a wonderful thing you are doing. I am helping start up a program in Lawton. It is called Family Promise. It is to help homeless families get back on their feet. I have also spent my money to help get things together. You have to be a special person to give to strangers and ask nothing in return. My hubby and I are really excited to get this program off and running. It is a really neat program and the best thing is that there are 10 different churches (different Demoninations) in Lawton that are involved in this program. I cant wait til it starts and we get to start helping people.

*for more info about this program please go to

Thanks everyone! It is a chore but I love it! Just so happens tonight I was rushed into the ER with heart related symptons come to find out it was just a medication I quit taking I should of stayed on...ooops...well anyway I got a call that a 14 year old local just had a baby girl! Can you believe that? Well on top of that no one helped her at all, except to provide for her not the baby. So from the hospital bed hooked up to monitors I turned to BooKoo and thank goodness I found a seller that had just what I needed a bunch of baby girl lots (I am sure you all seen them) Well perfect I just bought all the lots, I meet her at 5:45 am come home put together boxes and do a drop off at 8, meet another BooKooer to pick up baby bottles at 830, meet another famly to drop off a dog kennel and baby girl clothes I randomly chose out of Yahoo recycle to help and then to the Colisuem for the JBF sale set up at 845! I am volunteering everyday and every hour it is open to help them, I have been literally everywhere the last week poassing out fliers and talking JBF and it's finally here! Now I volunteer all my time but I just can't aford to buy from there with the work I do. I have to buy in bulk unless I am in a pinch but just to get out and meet people and put faces to names is wonderful.

Sarah- that is great, you will love the rewards that come with that. Just to see the families that are truly grateful for helping them, the tears you see just makes it all worth it. My husband has been military now 26 years and I am retired military so I have seen so much and so many people go without, so many that couldnt even put food on the table for their kids it would just break my heart so when I was granted my second retirement from civil service I decided to help others that needed it and it has been so rewarding in so many different ways. Hey, I am getting a huge barn now to work in!! I am so excited!

MJ- That would be awesome if you could help me out. Sometimes like at Christmas and back to school I am swamped and tend to get alttle crabby with my own family when they complain about helping me lol. I am swamped now trying to get these items over to this family then taking care of my yahoo freecycle family on top of JBF ughhh! :-) Plus tryng to coordinate all my pick up items from fellow BooKooers lol!

Ok it's off to bed to get my early start tomarrow! Night all see you in the AM with my daily inspirational Quote and Good Morning to all! :-)
