I want to Make Tiramisu but I need Marscarpone Cheese; it wouldn't be authentic Tiramisu if I used other cheese. Do any of you know where I can find it? I'd really appreciate it and you can have some when it's done! :D

Oh Grazie, grazie, grazie! i just didnt want to drive all over town looking for it :D

This town is so limited, unfortunately. I made Greek food yesterday and I always have to go to several different stores to get what I need. Fortunately, Countrymart tends to carry quite a bit of different items. I had actually ran across the marscarpone on accident...several months AFTER I was looking for it. *lol* D'oh!! As soon as you walk in there is a cheese "bin." It is right in there. :)

I went and found lot's of items I had been looking for! Thanks so much for the tip :D

Yeah, I find alot of stuff at Country Mart. I can't wait until my 7month old will allow me to really look. Another place that I've come to love is Market Street which is in Wichita Falls. I go about once a month to stock up on organics for baby food but they also have really good prices on meats and milk and several other items. You think it'll be more expensive when you walk in but the prices, for the most part, are just as good if not better than other grocery stores.

YUMMY!!!! would love to try some Tirmisu MJ, I bet you make a great one!

MaryJane --- 14 years ago -

@Glenna; I'll try that one in Wichita Fall when I go up there this weekend.

@Shelly; It was awesome! The cheese I got from CountryMart was really good. I only made a small one this time since it was just for me (I had such a craving for it I thought I was pregnant for a min :P) But next time if you really want some, I can make a bigger one to share!

I'm not sure if you are military or not, but the commissary sells it with all the other special cheeses. It's at the back of produce between the meet counter and the sushi counter. Good luck!

Oh I didnt look for it at the commissary! There is such a small selection that I didn't think of it!

I just happened to come across it at the commissary when I was looking for Romano. The commissary doesn't ever have much of anything, so I was surprised when I came across it. They actually have a nice selection. I think I paid about $4 for the mascarpone a few months ago.

I'm with Shelly. Feel free to ivite all your underground friends over next time! ;)

MaryJane --- 14 years ago -

@Ashley; I just buy a few things at the commissary. I buy my produce at wal-mart, usually late at night or eraly in the morning when they are just getting it off the truck :D

@Glenna; if I were to invite my undergroud friends there would be very few people! Lol, Don't know if you have noticed but I'm not very well liked on here! Lol but I will share next time I make some :D

Oh and, the commissary is having a case lot sale starting tomorrow till Saturday! I love those cause I can stock up on a few things for the whole year! Dont miss it!
