Has anyone else noticed a change in the way the coffee tastes at Starbucks?

I have. Burnt. The last time I went in to have it re-made I guess I spoke with a manager and I mentioned it tasted burnt. He told me that he is hearing more of this lately and it's because they are using a new method to brew the espresso. Something about it being 'held' in the machine and going straight into the cup, not the shot glasses. He said that if I told them that I wanted it made the old way with the shot glasses that it should taste like what I was use to. For the most part, it does.

I just wanted to pass that along b/c I'm sure I'm not the only one.

As an added measure, I called 1-800-STARBUCK to tell them. There's only so much a store manager can do with my complaint and the company is more likely to listen directly to a consumer. 

Oh your not the only one :-) I noticed a difference too!!! I have started going to the neighboorhood Phillips 66 lol they have alot better tasting coffee now and its cheaper too! 

I wish I wasn't so stuck up about my coffee and could drink just regular coffee. Easier and cheaper and likely less calories but I like my coffee all fru-fru. I make it at home most of the time but starbucks just had something I didn't (probably an espresso machine worth more than $39.99). But if it continues to taste that disgusting then my little cheap DeLonghi will do just fine! 

I just buy the Chai Eggnog Latte or the captain crunch frap..soo yummy for my tummy!!! I havent tried their straight coffee, I am not a big fan of it
