Hey ladies!

First off, let me introduce myself! Im Casey and I just got here from Ft. Lewis, Wa. Unfortunately this is my 2nd time here, I didnt like it the 1st time 8 years ago and now I just hate it.
Im really not a negative person at all, its just that this is a miserable place.
So, I need to make the best out of a bad situation and make some friends or its going to be really long 2 years before my husband retires...that makes me sound old, but hes 10 years older than me.
I dont live on post, but Im sure if I did it would be easier to meet new friends.

Lewis Underground was nothing but DRAMA all day everyday, and I dont do drama posts, I cant spend my day in front of the computer reading drama, although sometimes its kinda funny.

Ok, so here is where I would like your input, and please be honest-but not in a mean way!
Ive found that Lawton/Sill, doesnt have any of the things/services I loved and used frequently while I was at Lewis.

For example, mobile spray tanning. Every 2 weeks I would have a girl come to my house to give me and all of my friends a spray tan for only $20. We just found it easier and cheaper to have her come to us, give us a quick tan that lasted 2 weeks or so. If I had more than 4 people get a tan, my tan was free. The 1st time I did it, I was really only having her come out to give me a tan, but I knew my neighbors and friends that lived close by would be pissed if I did it and didnt tell them about it, so I let them know and 7 girls came. We started taking turns on who got the free tan every 2 weeks.
Unlike other in home parties, we didnt do food or snacks, there was no selling or recruiting, we just came, got sprayed, talked for a minute and left. Easy breezy!

Now, Ive looked and looked for a mobile spray tan business here and around here. Ive yet to find anything. I could be wrong, if I am and you know of someone who does it, please share her info with me!

So, if there was such a service here, would any of you be interested in it?
Because, Im thinking I might just buy a system, even if its just to spray myself.
Id really appreciate your input here!

Also, some of us did Botox parties too...and I realize this can be somewhat controversial because everyone has different views on aging. I look at it this way, Ive probably spent thousands of dollars over the last 12 years and all of the in home parties Ive been to...and for what? A cooking stone? Lots of makeup AND facial creams and lotions to prevent wrinkles and such?
Id really rather just spend my $ on making myself look better as opposed to...tupperware. And no offense to ANY of the in home sales businesses...if you read my profile, youll see that Im a consultant for almost every one there is, lol!
Im 31 and I get Botox every 6 months...and no, I guess that I didnt REALLY need it bc my face wasnt full of wrinkles. But I did have what they call "11's", you know, the lines in between your eyebrows. They can be 1's, 11's or 111's, mine was more like a 1 1/2 instead of a full 11. It was really deep and something that REALLY bothered me and affected my self esteem.
Also, youre supposed to get Botox around 25 as preventative maintenance, you wont need it as much as you get older.
I get my forehead, my 11's, and my upper lip done...yea, you can get it in your upper lip, it makes it plump up and lifts it, its pretty cool!
Its really not as expensive as everyone tends to think it is. I take about 5 units in my upper lip and its like $12/unit.
But, when you get a group of ladies, or guys, together, you can get a dermatologist to come out to your house for Botox, its substantially cheaper when you have a "Botox Party" instead of going to the office and doing it alone. Like $400+ in office and anywhere from $50-$200+ in home, depending on how much you want.
So, if any ladies are interested and want to do it, let me know bc Im almost due for another treatment.

There is a lady on sill that does spray tans. Her name is Annia. Search 'Spray Tan'. She does a special little deal like the one you're talking about. She's tanned me and I have nothing but good things to say about her and my tan.

I'm not sure if Lawton is ready for botox parties. That's a big city thing. I'm joking - kinda. I hate this d@mned place, too! Less than 5 months and we're out of here though. Good luck!

Hi we just PCS from ft lewis too I havnt meet anyone here and I agree ft lewis underground was nothing but drama, dont need that.Never done spray tans or anything but would love to meet some friends. 

We just pcs'ed from Fort Lewis, also. However, I grew up in this area, and like it. Well...most of it. I've noticed that it's hotter here this year than it has been in previous years.

Personally, I didn't care much for Fort Lewis, but I grew up in small town Oklahoma, and the Northwest was not a friend to me. I liked some things there, but it was mostly just rude people, and it was too expensive to live there.

As for the spray tans, I just moved here, so wouldn't know about anyone doing it, but I'm sure there is someone who does it. I am going to have to look for a new Scentsy gal, since we moved.

I don't know about doing Botox. I am an all natural type girl. I figure that God made me look this way for a reason. 

@ Glenna: Thanks! Naw, just bc Lawton is a craphole town doesn't mean that we are stuck living their small town ways! I know a dermatologist here that does the Botox parties. I get Botox and I'm 31. It's not as expensive as most think it is and it's even cheaper when you have a party!

I came from Lewis too in July, and I still post over there as well because like you said, this one isn't too active. HOWEVER we could change that of course, leaving drama out of it, and maybe share recipes, deals we find around town, good news, bad news/prayer requests...well you get the idea lol.

Ah, you might. :D I bought from here when I could. I agree with how it is kind of really quiet on this underground. I still post a bit over at LU when I have time, but not as much as I used to. We could make this underground more interesting if we can get the word out to people, and post anything and everything interesting. Maybe make plans for get-togethers once a month or something. We could all do like a book club, coffee days, cookie swaps, baby clothing swaps, coupon trading, or other things.
