Why do people post there items so dirty and then when you pick up they are dirty/ I can understand dust because that normal when something is just sitting around; although you could just wipe it down really fast but i can understand dust I may have sold something with dust before. I just dont understand how you can sell your items dirty. Geese take a minute out of y our day and wipe down the items you are selling and/or run t hem in washer.
it is absolutely nasty for you to sell clothes with stains, dirt marks and with a stench that Im not even sure I can get out. If you cant do that then I suggest posting them for free.
I brought a play table and some toys and a few outfits and oh my the disgusting shape they were in. the table had chocolate stuck to it and then some sticky item thats still unidentifiable.two of the shirts had a huge stain, I mean do you look at the clothes before you post them or you do take them right out the hamper!!! and the toys stunk like crap as well as te clothes. i just cant beleive people can be so nasty..
**DO NOT PUT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION UNLESS IT REALLY IS***BOTTOM LINE
then I tried to contact her and she had the nerve to me that I shouldve inspected everything before I purchased it and its not her fault I buy stuff without checking out the condition first... man if I saw her at wlamrt I would fu(k!ng flip out.
Basically everything went to trash $21 down the damn drain... I just cant beleive there are actual people out there like that who would take advantage of others on here.
Also I have noticed people lately posting there items with dirt on them and they look messy and stained and its not even mentioned in the description. When did it become ok to sell andpost our items in less than ok condition.
just athought
wow i bought a high chair back when i first got on here and it still had food on it that was all dryed up and god knows what i had to take to it to the car wash to power wash it and it still took a min to get the nasty off
when i get clothes and toys (as long as its not batteries orperated and even sometimes when they are )
i put them in the washing machine with a little bleach or pinesol and run them through it normally disinfects the items some of the stuff i put in the dish washer to sterilise
( not any of ur stuff cause it always looks new ur my fav seller in fact i normally only buy from u)
but so sorry that some ppl are like that if i had something that u had to clean i so would let u know and give it free but it smelled the trash is the place for that
laura
yeah that would urk the poo out of me if items i bought were i n that condition...if i wouldnt use them in a certain condition then i certainly dont sell them in that condition.
this is off topic but...i hate it when im interested in an item and someone tells me they have someone wanting it and they will let me know if they get it or not. Of course i dont hear from them then i see them relist the item so i go and try to find a similar item from a different seller lmao...sorry but c'mon ppl a little courtesy can mean the world ya know?
Oh thank you Laura you are so sweet. I try to post only the stuff in good ocndition if its ruined in any way I try to let people know (only if its still useable) or I throw it in the trash. Maybe once or twice I may have slipped something by but never intentionally. No I never got anything from you that was messed up. I have never purchased from her before but she guaranteed me her stuff was in excellent condition so I had my hubby pick it up. I was so disappointed I literally threw all the stuff away including the toys. I will not post her email I am waiting for her to respond with an apology by today if not I will post all her information.
yeah victoria I know what you mean But I have to admit sometimes that I do that to poeple but never intentionally. I hold items so long for people that I delete my emails after I get too many in and then when the person backs out of the items I have no idea all the people that were interested in it anymore. Im sure this happens with other sellers on here as well. Its hard to keep track of everything especially when you hold items for people for over a week which always ends up happening to me. I delete emails because I get so many I start getting confused so I delete them if they are like 3 to 5 days old.
Im not sure if I have ever done that to you but if I did I sincerely apologize.
Im still very mad that I am out of $20 bucks, excuse me $21...
hey brooks what size shoes dose ur little boy wear?? i have 4 pair of little boys shoes all in good conition ( two pair are almost new )
and they are clean lol no pics yet but i could text one if interested sizes 6 and 7 but one pair is smaller so i think they are more of a size 5
i got a post on the other site for them
laura
Brooks,
i know ppl get busy and im sure it gets hectic so im understanding on that end, i was just referring to a woman who told me she would let me know in an hour if the person showed up or not. Thats what got me hot because i thought the item was sold. Maybe it is petty for me to get upset but idk it irritated me at the time lol!
No i can completely understand why you were upset. I getupset as well when people do it to me even though Ive been guilty to not email back because I forget. I dont like it either when they say they will let me know if they no show and then the same day its reposted.. like hello I said I would come and pick it up and then its ppu again by another person. It gets frustrating so you have every right to be upset. as much as the sellers complain about the buyers were forgetting how bad some of the sellers can be. im sorry this happened to you and I hope the seller is sorry as well.
brooks, i wrote about the same issue a few months ago. i bought maternity clothes from this chick and they were absolutely disgusting. covered in dog hair and stunk worse than probably anything i've ever smelled before. i think it was "here" that said i shouldn't have bought the stuff if it was dirty. same situation tho, where my husband picked the items up and could see through the bag that everything was there. man, that about started world war 3 on here! i haven't sold clothes in awhile on here, but when i have in the past, i always had a box just for those clothes and i always made sure i washed it before it went into the box. i sold my jogging stroller last month and even tho i had told her it was covered in dust, i wiped it down with clorox wipes first.
btw, i have 3 or 4 pairs of size 7-8 boys shoes! i'm gonna post them on bookoo tomorrow with pics, hopefully...do any of yall happen to have any newborn or 0-3 month girls jeans or shoes?
WOW thats just nasty. Where do people get the idea that they can post their clothes like that.. and then have the nerve to say oh great condition. Ifthats greatc ondition to you then i would hate to see the way they maintain there home. Mine is not perfect but its clean enough to have company. I will never have myhubby pick anything up for me again.. well atleast not clothes. I swear some people just surprise me with how nasty they can be..I mean at least be clean with the stuff you sell thats the least you can do since were buying them.
I may have some 0-3 mont hstuff not sure yet I am going through some things in storage full of clothes I should know by the end of this week. Ill let you know ok. mommyof2
ok thanks! how old is your son? mine just turned 3 and is in 3t...i have tons of 2t stuff to get rid of!
did you have the large dresser with the 2 bottom drawers and the upper part opened up to a shelf and a pole to hang clothes? if so, that was me that bought it from you. i was pretty sure it was you, but didn't want to ask and turn out it wasn't...lol.
Oh yes i was the one that had it we met at the cracker barrel right. Do you like it?
My so n is in 12-18 and some 18-24 month right now. i am looking into buying some 2t jeans and long sleeve. I always like to buy ahead of time you know. My son is only 15 months old. If you have a lot of stuff you shoul send me some pictures and if I like it I could come over and check the stuff out and pick and choose what i want.
oh ok cool. ive been searching through all my stuff as well. lol.
Its good is heavy then its sturdy. But if you notice theres straps on it it on the back t hat is to count it to the wall and I would really recommend doing that. I know my daughter loves climbing into hers and if its not mounted I alwayspicture if falling on her.
I had posted a stroller before I had pics and someone wanted to come get it right then and there cuz there were from out of town and were heading back home. I quickly wiped it down with clorox wipes too just to make sure the dust was off.
I too have bought stuff that was just terrible. It was in a bag with other stuff on top that was fine. Eww, I got rid of it all. I have also gone to a house to buy stuff that I would not want to be in their house because it was so dirty. I dont keep a perfect house, but I would never agree to someone coming to my house if it was not presentable. I kindly said the item was not what I wanted and declined to buy it. The lady got mad at me for wasting her time. Oh well, I was too nice to tell her off and just left.
I have also found some great people to buy from and have not seen any posts from them lately which either means they have PCS'd or changed their name and I have not found them yet.
Funny story (to me at least) I was going to buy a few things from a lady on here and we had agreed on price and pick uo time. She had told me that everything was in EXCELLENT condition so I drove to her house to go pick the stuff up. When I got to her house, the first thing I saw as soon as I got off my car was pooped diapers all over her lawn (I kid you not) I turned around, hopped back in my car and drove off. I was not going to buy anything from someone that had pooped diapers as lawn decor; who knows what the actual condition of the items was. I was nice enough to e-mailed her to let her know I wasn't going to buy the items anymore.
One thing I hate as much as buying dirty items is buying a group of items (ie. 'Lot of XL shirts'), and getting them home to find that they are in nasty condition and a few of the items are actually what the post described. Ugh!
urgh, i hate hate HATE when people tell you they are gonna buy it, we talk for 2-3 days straight and you keep making plans to pick it up, and then keep not showing up, and i keep being nice and holding it for you! never will i do it again! i've been holding this item for 2 days now, and thought they were coming to pick it up this afternoon...just got an email that they aren't gonna get it now! i can understand why some people changed their minds about the item b/c its not what they thought it was, but i sent them a picture and everything, so they knew what it was! that's just so aggravating. i'm saving their email tho, so if they try to buy anything from me, i think i'll kindly decline. i'm pretty sure i'll be able to sell my stuff to other people who will actually commit to buying and keep their word!
and i know, things come up and not everyone can come when they say they will, but if you aren't for sure that you are able to buy it, please don't commit to it! i never do!!!
I dont know how many times I buy something and have to bring it home and wash it I will usually ask them to take money off if it is so bad that I am spending time cleaning it!
The diapers were on the lawn, just all over it, like 5 of them. I've seen at some at home daycares they put the diapers out but they wrap them in a bag and put them in a can so they won't stink up the place but this lady didn't have a daycare. It was just plain nasty.
Ugh, I hate that! Actually our neighbors are HORRIBLE about it! They will put a full trash bag, with diapers in it on their porch overnight. Of course a neighborhood dog always gets to it by morning and tears trash and baby diapers everywhere. Ive filed complaints with the city and even called the owners since these are tenants in the house. And can you beleive the house is ALSO for sale?
You better bet Ive called the realtor EVERY time there was trash on the lawn past the morning (no reason they shouldnt clean it up BEFORE they leave!)
Its not even so much that its dirty its that they dont even mention it in there add. If you mention its dirty and need to be wiped down or washed then maybe I wont be so mad but they say its in excellenct condition blah blah blah thats why we get so mad because when we get home everything is actually in the opposite condition then what was stated.
Also dont let people come to your house and try stuff on I had some lady come over yesterday to try some stuff on that I had posted on CL and she left with more than what she paid for. they have to buy the clothes at there own risk from now on if not Ill just throw the $hit away. If I see her again,if she ever buys from me again I will kick her a$$ so if your reading this B!TCH you better fu(ken remember my address and email and make sure you never cross me again!
Wowsers Brooks! I think i'd be doing some a$$ kicking myself on that one. What a thief! Shame you cannot find her profile or a picture or something and post her so people know she is a thief. If my life depends on a $10 or less item, then I am in a sad state. Just put me out of my misery, you know? I bet all she had to do was tell you she couldn't afford much or something. Shame society has become so sneaky and entitled.
yeah I would to. Her email doesnt come up on bookoo though. I will by tomorrow if she doesnt do what I asked. i already called her and left her a voicemail if she does not respond in the way i am pleased with then i will post all the info I have of her on here and CL and bookoo and anywhere else i can think of. What pisses me off is that I gave her all the stuff she was buying for almost half off teh asking price. I mean is life really that bad for some people. I normally only say no to people that make offers if there being rediculous example: if I just lowered the price on something 2 minutes ago to less than half what I was asking and then you make me an even lower offer than yes I will say no I dont care how long that item may stay listed..lol.. or if that person has said no to me before. then yes I will say no to you back because I will remember. other than that I almost always say yes to resonable offers and trades. But whatever it will come back on her three times harder Im sure. Its just sad what people resort to doing these days. Do we not ahve any shame in or actions anymore?
i just wonder do people not stop and think that word might spread that an item of theirs that was sold was in that bad of condition and as a result they will get a bad rep as a seller? i am that way to, when i have sold things before i will describe to a T. i am very thorough on pointing out the flaws mostly so people will see what they are getting into. yes used is "used" but sometimes the nasty stuff that sells on here ........let's just say "used" is to classy of a word for.
